Education Consultation

With nearly four decades of experience in special education, Ramona brings a wealth of knowledge, empathy, and advocacy to her role as an Educational Consultant. Her career has been dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs, empowering families, and collaborating with schools to create inclusive, effective educational environments.

Ramona began her teaching career in 1986 in East Baton Rouge Parish Schools at the Wilma C. Montgomery Education Center, where she laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for special education. In 1991, she joined Jenks Public Schools, where she served as a Special Education Teacher for 34 years—first at Jenks West Elementary (1991–1993), then at Jenks East Elementary from 1993 until her retirement in 2025.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ramona has worked directly with students across a range of disabilities and educational needs, guided families through complex processes like IEPs and 504 Plans, and advocated for inclusive practices and the least restrictive environment for every child. Her deep understanding of special education law, individualized instruction, and family engagement positions her as a trusted consultant and advocate.

Now, as a dedicated Education Consultant, Ramona continues her mission to support students, empower parents, and ensure every child receives the education they deserve. Additionally, Ms. Douglas is a proud grandmother and accomplished artist.
